Dow Chemical Co.'s Formulated Systems unit will work with Saudi Arabian conglomerate E.A. Juffali & Bros. to build a plant to make polyurethane feedstocks in Jeddah.
The agreement reinforces Dow Formulated Systems' commitment to our customers and the industries we serve in the Middle East, unit General Manager Juan Antonio Merino said in a March 3 news release.
Polyols made at the plant will be used in Dow's PU systems. The Formulated Systems unit also makes epoxy materials.
The plant is slated to open later this year. No cost or capacity details were provided in the news release.
