Saigh Solutions LLC, a 4-year-old machinery manufacturers' representative, has grown each year by winning new clients, diversifying its offerings and keeping overhead low, according to President Daniel Saigh.
The firm covers Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, western Pennsylvania and Kentucky, and concentrates on high-end equipment lines, said Saigh, whose 10 years of experience in machinery sales includes a stint as national sales manager of Motan Inc., where he managed sales reps.
Capital spending is coming off a bad year, as the recession gripped the plastics industry. But Saigh was relatively optimistic in an interview at an open house in mid-January at JSW Plastics Machinery Inc.'s new technical center in
Saigh said he expects growth to pick up in the second quarter.
Auctions of used machinery have depressed new-equipment sales, he said, “but there seems to be a little less of the used equipment now that really meets the needs of the customer.”

The rep firm's core lineup includes JSW presses, RJG Inc. process monitoring and control systems (Ohio only), Colortronic North America auxiliary equipment, conveyors from Dynamic Conveyor Corp., Getecha Inc. granulators, single-shaft shredders from Republic Machine Inc., TowerKlean LLC water-treatment products, Star Automation Inc. robots (Ohio and western Pennsylvania), and Glycon Corp. screws.
Saigh Solutions also works with custom automation shops, and has done its own custom integration.
The company also is a stocking distributor of Slide Inc. mold releases, rust preventives and purging compounds.
