In Seattle, SAMPE 2010 recorded 5,031 conference and exhibit attendees. The event had 297 exhibitors in 46,040 square feet, with 70 businesses new to the show, There were more than 350 technical presentations, eight tutorials, six featured lectures and two keynote addresses. SAMPE 2009 in Baltimore had 240 exhibitors in 35,360 square feet.
Karl Nelson of the Seattle chapter of SAMPE and Ali Yousefpour of the eastern Canada chapter were general chairs for SAMPE 2010, and their chapters coordinated the technical program.
SAMPE 2010 offered an experience to advanced [material and process] professionals and companies that can't be found anywhere else, said Steven Rodgers, current SAMPE international president. He is also director of research and development with ITT Corp. of Salt Lake City, Utah.
Covina, Calif.-based SAMPE holds its 2011 spring exhibition and conference May 24-26 in Long Beach, Calif.
