M-Base Engineering + Software GmbH has introduced a new extended version of its Campus resin database, after consulting with the German Association of the Automotive Industry, VDA.
A VDA working group developed a new directive: “Data for Selection of Thermoplastic Materials in Interior, Exterior and the Engine Compartment.” This document presents a list of preferred material properties and standards for material selection in the auto industry. In some cases, additional properties were introduced, such as light resistance, information about extended chemical resistance and emission behavior.
The Campus group and VDA agreed on uniform standards. The new software allows for each Campus grade to print the complete, official VDA data sheet.
