Entek Manufacturing Inc., which makes twin-screw extruders in Lebanon, Ore., was named one of the “100 Best Companies to Work for in Oregon” by Oregon Business magazine.
The annual list recognizes companies for excellence in retention and rewards, work environment, decision making and trust, performance management, career development and learning. Winners were announced in the March issue of Oregon Business.
More than 300 companies participated in the survey, and nearly 20,000 Oregon employees completed the survey, rating their level of satisfaction in 50 workplace qualities. Entek was ranked No. 12 in the medium-sized company category, defined as firms with 50-249 employees.
President Larry Keith detailed some factors that helped Entek get the designation. Every two weeks, all employees are updated on company matters and given a chance to contribute ideas. They also are briefed on customer projects and requirements.
“Open communication is a very important part of who we are,” Keith said.
