Flow Smart Inc. announced July 16 that it has purchased the wire- and fabric-reinforced hose business of Elkton, Md.-based Gore PharmBio Products, a division of W.L. Gore and Associates.
During the next several months, Flow Smart will take over production and sales of the products.
The deal includes Gore PharmBio's existing production equipment for the hoses, as well as current inventory.
Seaford-based Flow Smart said it plans to make process changes to improve repeatability, and to add “a multitude of innovative ancillary products.”
Flow Smart makes polymer seals used in the biotech, pharmaceutical and food-processing industries.
