WGHP TV in High Point, N.C., is reporting that Moll Industries Inc. is laying off about half the workers at its Seagrove, N.C., plant. The report quotes company spokesman Jeff Merritt, who says 86 employees will be laid off -- 43 full-time workers and 43 temporary employees. According to the report, the plant's largest customer, which provides 70-75 percent of its business, has ended its relationship with Moll. The Dallas-based injection molder filed for Chapter 11 protection from creditors on April 27.
