Hotset Corp., a Battle Creek maker of electric heating elements for plastics machinery and other types of equipment, has changed its name to Nexthermal.
The company has launched a website, www.nexthermal.com, and will introduce a next-generation flexible tubular heater, the Nextflex, to replace the 9-year-old Hotflex heater.
Ownership, location and management will not change, the company said.
Ken Sunden, sales and marketing manager, said the company has grown every year since 2007, and 2010 sales should exceed the previous, record year by more than 20 percent. Nexthermal has created 10 jobs this year, he said.
The firm's products include cartridge heaters, coil heaters, band and strip heaters, Elstein ceramic infrared heaters, tubular and immersion heaters, thermocouples and temperature controllers.
