Maguire Products Inc. is introducing a six-ingredient weigh-scale blender at K 2010 in Dusseldorf, Germany. The new version of the company's 21-year-old line of products for gravimetric dosing has four removable bins for additives and colors.
The Aston-based firm also is introducing a midsized version of its MaxiBatch blender for powders.
Maguire said it has 10,000 weigh-scale blenders (WSBs) in operation in Europe and 40,000 worldwide a 33 percent increase in the past four years.
Over the years we have worked to broaden the applicability of the WSB while keeping it lower in cost, simpler in design, and easier to use than alternative blenders such as loss-in-weight and volumetric systems, said Paul Edmondson, general manager of Maguire Europe, in a news release.
The company touts the ability of the WSB products to pay for themselves by allowing processors to precisely control their material consumption.
