The K trade fair, the giant global plastics show held every three years in Düsseldorf, Germany, will get started on Oct. 27 and run through Nov. 3. I've been in town for a few days now, so I've had an opportunity to watch some of the intense preparation that will have the Messe Düsseldorf grounds ready for action in just a short time. David Vink, my colleague at European Plastics News, has filed a nice story with some of the facts and figures about expectations for K 2010. Some of the key numbers: 3,102 exhibitors this year, down just a smidge from 3,114 in 2007. Total exhibit space of 164,125 square meters. Expectations of 200,000+ attendees. Watch for more blog updates from K over the next 10 days.
