Cosmetics packaging and products maker Topline Products Co. Inc. has added Novapax injection blow molding equipment to its plant in Dundee, Mich.
The Novapax Maschinenbau GmbH equipment was purchased from financially distressed cosmetics packaging company Risdon International Inc.'s Middletown, N.Y., plant earlier this year and was delivered to Topline's Michigan plant in July, according to an Oct. 26 news release from Topline.
The new capacity will enable Wayne, N.J.-based Topline to produce bottles and other colored components for mascara and lip gloss cosmetics products, the release said. Topline already produces packaging and products at four plants in China.
We will now be able to serve our customers more responsively and efficiently with the capacity to offer mascara and lip product launches in China or North America, President Charles Chang said in the release.
After colored cosmetics components are fabricated in Michigan, they will be shipped to Topline's Reynosa, Mexico, plant for final assembly. Topline opened the Reynosa plant in May.
