Here's a fun headline: "Gov.-elect Snyder: Nerds wanted in Michigan." That's on an Associated Press report courtesy of Crain's Detroit Business. According to the story, Michigan Gov.-elect Rick Snyder wants to keep "tough nerds" like him from moving out of state after they graduate from college. Snyder has suggested that the state offer tax credits for young professionals who live and work in major cities. The "nerds wanted" call is sort of catchy. Maybe Ohio can follow suit with a "send us your geeks" marketing campaign, to try to steal the brightest nerds from Michigan and other surrounding states.
