Bahlingen mold and hot-runner maker Otto Männer Holding AG has launched its first injection molding machine system — a 5-tonne micro-molder.
Männer said its acquisition of Paramecc a year ago spurred the development. Paramecc has all-electric experience.
The 5-tonne Micro-män 50 micro-molder has a 40-millimeter-diameter screw plasticizing unit and a piston-operated injection unit capable of 3,000-bar injection pressure. Both functions are horizontal and parallel to each other and operated by high-torque electric motors without using gears.
