End-of-arm tooling maker SAS Automation LLC showed the new Sensi-Sure grippers, featuring jaw closing adjustment, to protect parts from getting marred and end the binding of parts and sprues.
You set an adjustable screw for the desired jaw-closing position for your specific parts. An integrated jaw screw allows replacement of the jaws.
The sensing range covers a much larger area than previous models, according to SAS.
SAS also introduced Uni-Grip and Uni-Clamp gripper tooling. Uni-Grip is a universal system that allows for a precise gripper tool to be built with greater assembly flexibility, thanks to a channel-nut-free cross connectors and gripper mounting clamps that fasten with a new expanding channel-nut mount, rather than a standard channel nut.
Uni-Clamp can be mounted into the extruded nut channels on different brands and sizes of frame molding, so you can use frames currently in-house.
Also new is a GFD ¼ Mini vacuum manifold, that fits right next to the cup, to keep vacuum directly on the cup. It has an integrated vacuum generator.
