Michael Madden, a partner and vice president of sales for custom compounder ECM Plastics Inc., died of a suspected stroke Dec. 23. He was 58.
Madden of Belchertown, Mass., was a 1976 graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Lowell. From there he went to work for Coz Chemical Co. in Northbridge, Mass., initially as a customer service representative and later in a sales position.
Madden left Coz to help found and become a part-owner of Worcester-based ECM in 1996.
All of us at ECM Plastics will miss Mike and the level of professionalism he brought to our organization and to the plastics industry, said ECM President Wayne Marquis, in a news release.
During his career, he formed many close personal and professional relationships with employees, customers and suppliers that were revered and respected. He will be missed.
