Jerry Carty founded Trademark Plastics Inc. in 1989 and served as president and CEO until his death in 2005. His wife, Carolyn, took over the top positions.
In 2008, Trademark obtained certification as a woman-owned business. Two Carty daughters are involved: Erin Carty served as Trademark vice president for several years and was named CEO in 2010; Kristin Carty is corporate secretary.
Due to our continuous growth, we came to the city of Riverside in 2002 and have benefited from the [municipal] utilities and tax incentives, said corporate controller Bryan Graves.
On Sept. 3, 2002, the Riverside Industrial Development Authority issued $4.3 million in repayable, low-interest bonds to assist Trademark in the 21-mile relocation from Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. Trademark signed a 10-year lease with Magnon Cos. for its plant and site, and subsequently acquired both.
Trademark attained ISO 9001:2008 certification in September 2009.
