German auto supplier Röchling Automotive AG & Co. KG is establishing a North American headquarters in South Carolina as part of its expansion in the region.
In February, the company said it will build a new manufacturing plant in Akron, Ohio.
Now the Mannheim-based firm said in a March 2 news release that it will create a headquarters in Duncan, S.C., focusing on air-flow management and acoustics systems.
Duncan is already home to a Röchling manufacturing plant that produces parts for BMW AG and Daimler AG vehicles and is launching new parts for Ford Motor Co.
The company has also started an apprenticeship program with the South Carolina Technical College System to train new employees.
