NORTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY Tobin Marks, the Evanston, Ill.-based university's Vladimir N. Ipatieff Professor of Catalytic Chemistry, and professor of materials science and engineering, received the 2011 Dreyfus Prize in chemical sciences, conferred this year in catalysis. The award recognizes exceptional and original research in a selected area of chemistry that has advanced the field in major ways. It includes a monetary prize of $250,000.
