WARREN, MICH. (July 8, 11:45 a.m. ET) — US auto-trim supplier SRG Global Inc. has opened its newest facility, in Boleslawiec, Poland. The opening event coincided with the first shipment of parts to customers in Germany and surrounding countries, according to CEO Kevin Baird.
“We're pleased to announce that SRG Global-Poland is fully operational and satisfying the needs of our customers in Germany,” he said in a news release. The plant complements SRG facilities in Spain, he added.
The Boleslawiec plant is one of a number of initiatives undertaken recently by the company, SRG Global. Other projects include expansion of activity in China, and groundbreaking for a new plant in Irapuato, Mexico.
The 13,000-square-meter Polish plant designs, produces and assembles high quality painted plastic parts, SRG said in the statement. The Warren-based company aims to employ more than 220 workers at the plant in the future.
