ROCKY HILL, CONN. (July 12, 1:15 p.m. ET) — Corrugated high density polyethylene pipe maker Advanced Drainage Systems Inc. has opened a regional office in Rocky Hill, in the former headquarters of StormTech LLC, which ADS purchased in early 2010.
Connecticut State Representative Antonio Guerrera (D-Rocky Hill) was the featured speaker at a grand opening held July 6.
“I am very happy that ADS has chosen Connecticut and especially Rocky Hill, my home town, as their location and I certainly hope they will continue to grow here in Connecticut,” Guerrera said.
Columbus, Ohio-based ADS was founded in 1996. The company runs 51 plants and 23 distribution centers around the world making corrugated pipe for the storm and wastewater industry. StormTech makes underground chambers to handle storm water runoff.
“Since we introduced our HDPE pipe over 40 years ago, ADS has continued to lead the industry by creating and improving products that meet the needs of its customers,” said Frank Seymour, vice president of sales for ADS.
