DENVER (July 15, 1:15 p.m. ET) — Building materials maker Johns Manville is expanding capacity for glass fiber manufacturing in Trnava, Slovakia.
The Denver-based company is building a new furnace, due to start up in the fourth quarter of 2012, to increase production by up to 40 percent.
Johns Manville make products such as ThermoFlow chopped strands and StarRov LFT Roving for thermoplastic compounds. In the thermoset segments, the company says it will continue to support growth with StarRov Roving for continuous glass reinforcement and MultiStar Roving for choppable glass strands used in selected market segments.
