ATLANTA (Aug. 3, 12:15 p.m. ET) — Web Industries has opened a composites automation development center in the Atlanta area that will help test new carbon fiber composite materials.
The 10,000-square-foot center will allow engineers to complete performance, processability, durability, and fit-for-use assessments on pre-preg carbon fiber tapes.
Donald Romine, president and CEO of Web Industries, said the company is seeing increasing acceptance and use of next-generation composite materials in aerospace, industrial, automotive, and wind energy applications.
Web Industries does contract manufacturing and develop of flexible materials, including slitting, spooling, printing, laminating, specialty extrusion, assembly, packaging, and supply chain management.
