SCOTTSDALE, ARIZ. (Aug. 8, 2:15 p.m. ET) — The In-Mold Decorating Association has announced the winners of its 2011 awards competition, which honors the industry's best in-mold labeled packaging and in-mold decorated durable products.
Judges picked these winners from a field of 28 entries submitted by 12 companies around the world:
Best IMD Durable Product, for a washer-dryer control panel, submitted by the molder, Serigraph Inc.
Best Injection Molded Part, for a laundry control panel, submitted by Serigraph and molded by TH Plastics Inc.
Best Label Design, for a Venice-mask box, submitted by aL Printing and molded by Curver.
Honorable mention for Label Design, Wisk laundry detergent, submitted by Multi-Color Corp., molded by Graham Packaging Co. Inc. The brand owner is Sun Products Corp.
Best Part Design, Redpath sugar container, submitted by the molder, Ropak Packaging. Red Path Sugar Ltd. is the brand owner.
Best Product Family, Enfamil infant formula, submitted by the brand owner, Mead Johnson Nutrition, molded by Plastic Moulders Ltd.
Honorable mention for Product Family, to Thor 7-Eleven drink cups, submitted by Inland Label, molded by Technimark Inc. The brand owner is 7-Eleven Inc.
Best Thin Wall Packaging, to Rugenwalder teewurst sausage package, submitted by Marbach Moulds & Automation GmbH, molded by Weidenhammer Plastic Packaging GmbH. The brand owner is Rugenwalder Muhle Carl Muller + Co. KG.
