COLOGNO MONZESE, ITALY (Aug. 8, 2:05 p.m. ET) — Tria SpA, the Italian manufacturer of rotary-knife granulators and grinding systems, announced that its subsidiary, Tria America LLC, has opened a corporate office in Charlotte, N.C.
The building includes a warehouse stocked with inventory and spare parts, a test facility and a showroom.
Tria has served the North American thermoforming and extrusion industry, direct from Italy, for more than 10 years. Now the company wants to add blow molding, injection molding and recycling to its target customer list.
“In order to continue providing the kind of service and sales support our customers have come to expect, we decided it was time to have a local presence,” said Harmut Bendfeldt, managing director of Tria America.
Based in Cologno Monzese, Italy, Tria manufactures more than 1,000 granulators and recycling systems are year, exporting 80 percent of its production. The company makes 40 models, ranging from beside-the-press units to large central granulators with wet grinders, to the TR models for extrusion and thermoforming.
