FRANKLIN, TENN. (Aug. 12, 1:35 p.m. ET) — In a deal involving two makers of plastic pressure-sensitive labels, Resource Label Group LLC has acquired Pamco Printed Tape & Label Co. Inc.
No purchase price was disclosed in the deal, which was announced Aug. 9. Warwick, R.I.-based Pamco makes pressure sensitive labels for consumer nondurable markets such as food and beverage and health and beauty. The firm is more than 50 years old and operates a full-service production plant in Des Plaines, Ill.
It's the first deal for Franklin, Tenn.-based RLG since the firm was acquired by New York private equity firm First Atlantic Capital Ltd. in April. RLG makes pressure sensitive labels for niche, high-value markets, including chemical and industrial. The firm operates plants in Franklin and Memphis.
Pamco was advised in the deal by financial services firm Mesirow Financial of Chicago.
