TROIS-RIVIÈRES, QUEBEC (Aug. 26, 12:35 p.m. ET) — Voltflex Innovations Corp. of Trois-Rivières has been granted C$50,000 (US$50,667) by the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec that is allowing the company to invest in equipment.
The firm makes and distributes electrical harnesses for transportation equipment manufacturing. It was founded in 2003.
In an Aug. 23 email, Voltflex President Claude Brouard said the company has purchased a low-pressure injection molding machine from Cavist Corp. in Reno, Nev.
“This investment allows us to buy this machine and some specialized molding dies,” Brouard said. “This investment will improve our product quality, especially the joints in our wire harnesses and our different plugs.”
He said the company now will be able to improve service to existing customers and find new ones as well.
In addition to retaining 16 current employees, the grant will help Voltflex with plans to hire 19 others.
