LIVONIA, MICH. (Aug. 30, 4 p.m. ET) — Auto supplier NYX Inc. will invest $23 million in a new injection molding plant in Tennessee.
The 175,000-square-foot plant in Linden, Tenn., will create 400 jobs within five years, Tennessee officials said in an Aug. 30 news release.
NYX, based in Livonia, Mich., already has another plant in Tennessee with its wholly owned Bates LLC in Lobelville, which makes under-the-hood parts. The new site will add further production in the region with parts for a variety of automakers.
The company has a 10-year lease on an existing building for its new plant and will begin the hiring process in November for expected production launch in early 2012.
