AUBURN, ALA. (Sept. 7, 1:20 p.m. ET) — Auto supplier Seung Chang Airtek Co. Ltd. is completing a 95,000-square-foot expansion to its Auburn parts plant to keep up with increasing demand from two of its customers.
Seung Chang Airtek Inc. is the U.S. branch of the global supplier based in Anseong, South Korea, an injection molding functional parts for heater and blower parts.
With the expansion, the facility will cover 214,800 square feet of manufacturing. SCA has invested $16.8 million in the complex, according to a Sept. 6 news release from the city of Auburn.

The expansion comes as SCA customers Hyundai Motor Co. and Kia Motor Corp. expand their production at their U.S. sites in Alabama and Georgia, the company said.
