Charles Ross & Son Co. has introduced two new products: cylindrical blender/dryers and a planetary dual dispenser.
The Hauppauge, N.Y.-based company makes specialty mixing, blending, drying and dispersion equipment. The company's trial/rental program relies on the Port St. Lucie, Fla., plant to service and stock a multi-million inventory of new and reconditioned mixing equipment. That plant, one of the company's five U.S. manufacturing locations, also builds a wide range of laboratory and production-scale equipment.
The cylindrical blender/dryers are designed for high-temperature processing of pellets, powders, granular materials, slurries and pastes under vacuum, atmospheric or positive pressure.
The company custom builds the equipment to meet the specific needs of each user. The blender/dryers come in many sizes, ranking from half a cubic foot through 515 cubic feet capacities.
The planetary dual dispenser is designed for powerful mixing of high-viscosity materials that require ultra-fine dispersion quality. It features four agitators: two planetary stirrers and two high-speed shafts—all rotating on their own axes while they orbit the mix vessel on a common axis.
Two saw-tooth blades on each high-speed shaft give intensive shearing.
