WASHINGTON (Sept. 15, 1:30 p.m. ET) — Sijo Global Partners, a minority business enterprise, has an agreement to distribute biopolymers from Bainbridge, Ga.-based DaniMer Scientific LLC.
DaniMer Scientific LLC had announced in June that it was in the process of starting a plant to make hot melt adhesives made from renewable resources. The company said it would have commercial-level volumes in October.
“This partnership with bioplastics technology leader DaniMer will enable SijoGP to make a difference in peoples' lives by providing a renewable alternative to petroleum-based plastics that is crucial to meeting the sustainability initiatives of majority companies,” said Helen Jae Lee, president of SijoGP, in a news release.
Washington-based Sijo distributes polymers that are biodegradable and made from biomass.
