WAYNE, PA. (Sept. 21, 4:15 p.m. ET) — JSP International LLC has acquired Jackson, Mich.-based steam chest molder Maverick Industries in a move that should help the plant grow.
JSP, with global operations based in Tokyo and North American offices in Wayne, Pa., did not disclose the purchase price. The company already produces expanded polypropylene for packaging and the auto industry. Maverick specializes in industrial packaging and dunnage, the companies said in a Sept. 14 news release.
Maverick's expertise will help JSP expand its packaging market used to ship auto parts, said Rich Alloway, president and CEO of the Americas for JSP.
Maverick's president, Scott Matherly, now serves as general manager of JSP Jackson.
