WATTWIL, SWITZERLAND (Sept. 21, 2:30 p.m. ET) — Gurit Holding AG has created a new unit to pursue market opportunities for composite applications.
The business unit, called Engineered Structures, includes Wattwil-based Gurit's composite structural engineering skills with business development and rapid prototyping resources.
Graham Harvey, currently general manager of Gurit's marine business, will manage the new venture starting Oct. 1.
“This is the start of a next growth initiative for Gurit. It follows the rapid build-up of its business presence in Asia and the strategic broadening of its material and services offering for the Wind Energy market with Tooling and the development of a complete core material product range,” said Rudolf Hadorn, CEO of Gurit, in a news release.
