WAYNE, N.J. (Sept. 26, 4:50 p.m. ET) — Topline Products Co. Inc. has acquired Cosworld-Primapack, a subsidiary of Paris-based Cosfibel Group. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The acquisition will provide Wayne-based Topline with expanded access to packaging, filling and assembly, and turnkey products customers in Europe, according to a Sept. 26 news release.
Topline will be able to provide products and services at the regional level “to streamline the supply chain and enhance speed to market,” Charles Chang, Topline president, said in the release. “Europe is a dynamic marketplace for innovations in beauty and personal care, and the acquisition strengthens our position to compete in this market by utilizing Topline's global manufacturing locations.”
Officials were unavailable for further comment.
According to the release, Topline has acquired all the assets of Cosworld-Primapack, including its entire global staff. Primapack's Paris office will be consolidated with Topline's Paris office later this fall.
Topline manufactures primary and secondary packaging, color cosmetics, skin-care, bath and body products, eyelash curlers and cosmetics applicators. The company, which has more than 40 patents, has manufacturing facilities in the U.S., Mexico and China. It employs about 1,500 and has annual sales of over $100 million.
