Fortlev, a Brazilian maker of plastic tanks and cisterns, has bought additional KraussMaffei Berstorff equipment.
The relationship began a year ago when Fortlev made two large orders for a PVC pelletizing system and extrusion lines to make unplasticized PVC pipe.
The new order covers equipment for making powder for rotational molding water tanks. Fortlev is buying two KME 150-36 B single-screw extruders used to pelletize medium density polyethylene at a rate of 3,190 pounds an hour. The pallets are then turned into rotomolding power.
Fortlev is based in Vitória, Brazil.
