STUTTGART, GERMANY (Oct. 12, 2 p.m. ET) — Frimo Group GmbH and Schuler SMG GmbH & Co. KG have formed a composites alliance to offer their customers turnkey solutions from a single source to mass-manufacture lightweight components.
The alliance was agreed at the Composites Europe fair, held Sept. 27-29 in Stuttgart, according to a news release from Lotte, Germany-based Frimo.
The two companies aim to reach new markets by exploiting their synergies. Schuler of G"ppingen, Germany, supplies machines and production lines for the plastics-processing industry while Frimo provides system solutions for fiber-reinforced plastics and polyurethane processing, as well as tools and machinery.
“The alliance enables us to offer complete systems for the field of composites processing,” said Manfred Wischnewski, managing director of Schuler SMG.
