ALEXANDRIA, VA. (Oct. 13, 4 p.m. ET) — Richard M. Doyle will become president and CEO of the Vinyl Institute, effective Oct. 24. Doyle spent nearly 20 years at the American Chemistry Council, leading the Responsible Care initiative, forming state chemical associations and managing the Federation of State Chemical Councils.
He also service for eight years as president and CEO of the International Sleep Products Association, and most recently he was senior vice president at K-Global Strategies Inc.
“Doyle's expertise in association leadership, industry experience and strong technical knowledge mesh with the dynamic and challenging needs of the Vinyl Institute,” the group's Chairman B.J. Hebert said in a news release.
Greg Bocchi stepped down as VI's president and CEO in February.
Founded in 1982, Alexandria-based VI represents manufacturers of vinyl, vinyl chloride monomer, vinyl additives and modifiers and vinyl packaging materials.
