OBERHAUSEN, GERMANY (Oct. 31, 2:10 p.m. ET) — Specialty chemical maker Oxea GmbH will build its first plant for oxo derivatives in Nanjing, China, in order to serve the fast-growing demand in Asia.
The plant will start construction in 2012 and go on stream in 2013. It will initially produce Oxea's specialty esters, phthalate-free plasticizers and other oxo derivatives, while leaving space for future expansion and new investments, the Oberhausen, Germany-based company said.
Oxo derivatives are used in many sectors, including automotive, construction, pharmaceutical and personal care products.
