GRAND HAVEN, MICH. (Nov. 2, 2:10 p.m. ET) — Custom injection molder Grand Haven Custom Molding LLC has added 12 employees and a new press since winning approval for a tax abatement in August, and has room to grow even further.
The Grand Haven-based company took delivery of a 340-ton Haitian press on Nov. 1 and will be adding robotics and a conveyor system as it prepares to put it into production, said Paul Christiansen, director of new business development.
The company opened in 2010 and now has 18 presses, making parts for a variety of industries. The building houses GHCM previously was the site of another molding company, and already has infrastructure in place for 50 presses, which will make it easy for the business to add more presses as it wins more contracts, Christiansen said.
