WASHINGTON (Nov. 3, 3:15 p.m. ET) — Steve Navedo, vice president of sales and quality assurance at PET recycler Pure Tech Plastics in East Farmingdale N.Y., is the new chairman of the Association of Postconsumer Plastic Recyclers.
Navedo replaces Scott Saunders, general manager of KW Plastics Recycling in Troy, Ala., whose term as chairman and membership on the APR board ended in mid-October.
Bill O'Grady, vice president and general manager of recycler Talco Plastics Inc. in Corona, Calif., was elected vice president of APR at the association's fall meeting in Charlotte in mid-October. O'Grady is a past APR chairman.
APR members represent more than 90 percent of all post-consumer plastic processing capacity in North America. The group is based in Washington.
