Schenck Process GmbH of Darmstad, Germany, showed several products at Fakuma 2011.
The MechaTron Min is a miniature gravimetric feeder with a delivery rate between 3.5 ounces and 22 pounds an hour. Schenck designed the feeder for laboratory and test facilities for feeding extruders, mixers, mills and granulators.
Features include a double shaft and vertical agitator. The feeder is designed for quick dismantling for cleaning and replacement of the discharge devices.
Also at Fakuma, Schenck introduced the MoveMaster Vac loading stations and vacuum receivers for handling powders and granulated materials, as well as pellets, tablets, capsules of bulk fiber materials. Applications include gravimetric and volumetric feeder refilling, batching, blender charging and discharging, bulk bag or sack unloading, and filling and emptying silos and day tanks.
Schenck also presented a successor to its long-running Intecont Plus feeders, by introducing Intecont Tersus, with an improved, color high-resolution display. You can download different languages, even Chinese or Russian. The electronics are built into a control panel rack and can be integrated into a wall housing.
