SPRING HOUSE, PA. (Nov. 29, 12:30 p.m. ET) — Chemical and polymers consultancy The Catalyst Group and the China National Chemical Information Center announced a strategic partnership Nov. 28 that will allow each organization to cross-promote products and expand their respective global presences.
A joint statement provided few details but Beijing-based CNCIC suggested it was particularly interested in helping Chinese firms use advanced foreign technology and for European chemical firms to better understand China's market.
“The cooperation of the two sides this time will first share their marketing channels, jointly seeking opportunities to further develop the European chemical market and China's chemical market,” said CNCIC President Fu Xu.
He continued: “Secondly, both sides will actively integrate their respective advantageous resources to build a good platform for European chemical enterprises to have in-depth understanding of China's chemical market, for China's chemical enterprises to introduce foreign advanced technology, and for both sides to enhance mutual cooperation and exchange of information.”
Spring House, Pa.-based Catalyst Group said the partnership would deepen offerings for both firms.
“Working in China for almost 15 years has made TCG acutely aware of the value of strategic partners,” said Brittany McGinley, Catalyst Group vice president. “We are pleased that formalizing our relationship with a respected organization like CNCIC will mutually enhance the value and depth of our respective offerings.”
