FARGO, N.D. (Dec. 5, 10 a.m. ET) — Horn Plastics Inc. has purchased its third butt fusion welder. The company will use the 16-foot wleder to make durable liners for dump boxes and trailers.
The 18-year-old company got its start making non-stick liners for harvest trucks hauling sugar beats, according to a Dec. 6 news release. With the new equipment, the firm can make one large 16-foot-wide liner to cover the entire inside of a dump box or trailer, and also weld four narrow floor liners in one process.
Horn has three locations, in Boise, Idaho; its headquarters in Fargo; and Wisconsin Dells, Wis.
