WILMINGTON, DEL. (Dec. 19, 3:15 p.m. ET) — DuPont Co. will introduce two additions to its Teflon non-stick cookware coatings at Ambiente 2012, scheduled for Feb. 12-14 in Frankfurt, Germany, under the slogan “Art and innovation concepts.”
According to the company, these latest additions will enable its customers to color their products as well as add slogans and logos. The colors, which are based consumer and retail market research, are “Hot Chili,” “Lavender Blue” and “Champagne Gold.” The printing uses specially formulated inks.
“The new styling concept is a successful mixture of art, innovation and today's tastes,” said Wilbert Broeksmit, marketing manager Teflon consumer finishes Europe, Middle East and Africa. “Consumer interest in cooking products shows no signs of slowing down, and lifestyle accessories for the kitchen help satisfy our craving for something new.
“Cookware enhanced with color and printing becomes more desirable. At the same time, our new options can help retailers set themselves apart from the competition, with a trend-leading edge to create additional sales.”
