Debra and Robert Cervenka -- founder of injection molder Phillips Plastics Corp. -- are being honored by Northland College, a liberal arts school in Ashland, Wis. The pair were named the school's 2011 Philanthropists of the Year, an annual award given to individuals who demonstrate exceptional support of the college and its educational mission, according to a report in the Ashland, Wis., Current. The Cervenkas recently created a four-year scholarship at Northland, and Debra Cervenka serves on the board of trustees. Robert Cervenka founded Phillips Plastics in 1964, and sold the company in December 2010.
