LAS VEGAS (Jan. 10, 12 p.m. ET) — 3D Systems Corp. on Jan. 10 unveiled its first 3D printer for the consumer market.
Rock Hill, S.C.-based 3D showed the Cube personal printer at the CES trade show in Las Vegas. According to the company, the printer can create three-dimensional plastic products in a range of colors. When it goes into commercial production later this year, the company said the Cube will cost $1,299.
“With the Cube printer, personal 3D printing becomes a reality for everyone,” said Rajeev Kulkarni, vice president and general manager for consumer solutions, in a news release.
