WASHINGTON (Jan. 13, 10:40 a.m. ET) — Larry Sloan, president and CEO of the Society of Chemical Manufacturers and Affiliates, will serve as the 2012 chairman of the Council of Manufacturing Associations of the National Association of Manufacturers.
“I am honored and proud to lead the CMA and look forward to building upon the already strong relationship between the council and the greater NAM membership to reestablish an innovative and robust U.S. manufacturing sector,” Sloan said.
The council is comprised of more than 235 manufacturing associations which represent their members' interests in the United States and internationally.
Both NAM and SOCMA, which represents the batch chemical industry, are based in Washington.
