NORTHBROOK, ILL. (Jan. 13, 10:35 a.m. ET) — Distribution firm M. Holland Co. has added BASF Corp. to its list of engineering resin suppliers.
Northbrook, Ill.-based M. Holland now will distribute Ultramid-brand nylon compounds, Ultraform-brand acetal and similar products for Florham Park, N.J.-based BASF.
M. Holland President Ed Holland said that the deal “is the latest move of partnering with world class [engineering thermoplastic] producers with global presence and North American assets.”
Holland also recently has struck ETP supply deals with Bayer Corp., Invista and RTP Co. The firm already had supply agreements in place with Mitsubishi Engineering Plastics, Chi Mei Corp. and Evonik Industries AG.
For BASF, adding M. Holland as a distributor “is consistent with our overall BASF distributor strategy of aligning our product offerings with targeted channels in the market,” according to engineering plastics senior vice president Larry Berkowski.
In the U.S., BASF's engineering resins also are distributed by Entec Polymers LLc and Nexeo Solutions LLC.
