NEW DELHI (Jan. 18, 1 p.m. ET) — India's largest automotive air conditioning system maker Subros Ltd. is foraying into additional plastic automotive parts.
“We are planning to make wide range of plastic engineering parts for automotive application in 2012,” said Nagendrappa Pujari, assistant vice president, at the Auto Expo in New Delhi.
Subros is adding plastic engineering parts like engine cover, break-fluid tank, fan, steering oil tank, rear bumper, condenser sealing, instrument panel, door trim, seat recliner cover, mirror cover, inter cooler cover, front grill, radiator coolant tank, condenser shroud, ABC trim, pillars, front bumper, instrument console box and wheel fender. The company will make the parts at its Pune, India, facility.
Pujari said Indian OEMs are looking for suppliers that can provide complete front assemblies, including the dashboard where the company's HVAC components fit.
Subros has six plants in India, setting up seventh plant in Chennai and one plant in Thailand.
