THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS (Jan. 25, 12:30 p.m. ET) – Bradley Crocker has been named CEO of Americas Styrenics LLC, effective Jan. 30.
Crocker served most recently as Chief Operating Officer of Lawter Inc. His previous experience includes stints at Nalco Chemical Co., International Paper, and Momentive Specialty Chemicals.
The Woodlands-based AmSty is a joint venture between Chevron Phillips Chemical Co. LP and Styron. The company is the largest integrated producer of polystyrene and styrene monomer in the Western Hemisphere.
“This is an exciting time for AmSty, as it transitions from a successful turnaround in its first three years, toward a focus on growth and profitability,” said Paul Moyer, vice president and general manager of plastics for Styron, in a news release.
David Smith, vice president of olefins & NGL for Chevron Phillips Chemical and chairman of the AmSty board of directors, added that Crocker's appointment came after a “lengthy and careful selection process.”
