A Mailbag letter on Page 6 of the Jan. 23 issue included some miscalculations. It should have said that in Ontario's curbside program, PET has a net collection cost of nearly 50 cents per pound, while the container deposit programs in Hawaii and Oregon cost about 15 cents per pound for PET.
